The circle of Cuenca: “It is by non-judging that we build sisterhood”
In a small queer bookshop in Cuenca, a group of women got together to share views around motherhood. An honest and intense exchange claiming the right to self-determination and to non-judgement. In an eco-feminist framework, these testimonies brought up very crucial themes: the burden of caregiving that weighs on the mothers and grandmothers and the relationship between motherhood and work and the need to imagine a sisterhood able to welcome all choices.
Betsy: “I became more and more of an outsider”
Betsy, an American academic now living in Vienna, talks about her decision not to have children, both inside and outside of marriage. A valuable testimony that brings together personal experiences and cultural differences between the United States and Europe on reproductive rights, showing how much still needs to be done to defend women’s freedom.

ReSister! Festival di cultura femminista – Parma, 20-22 settembre
The third edition of ReSister! is back, the festival conceived and designed by the Casa delle donne di Parma (Parma Women’s Centre): three days of meetings, music, shows and debates to transform even the most difficult and divisive issues into common practices. A feminist festival because feminism is necessary and because women’s freedom liberates everyone. This year’s theme will be feminism’s ability to imagine perspectives beyond the desperate status quo, to break boundaries, go beyond limits and leave a legacy for those who come after us. We will also be there on 21st September.
